New Layouts...

its been so long since i went through the whole process to get these images ready and up on here to share...i had forgotten how much time it took!
i think i spent more time scanning and photo merging the pages then i did creating them! ...thanks to a little, okay a lot, of scraplifting!

here are the first ones...pictures are from her first game and a game in November. The first LO is one from Ali's idea book, pg.113. the second one is my own design.
Added-These layouts are a scraplift of Annie Weis, also from Ali's idea book, pg. 80. also, the first time i used a 12x8 photo!
the final LOs, which i'll add later, (still putting on some finishing touches) are a scraplift from the CK Scrapbook Idea Book, Vol. 10, pg. 60. The original design is by Courtney Kelly.

it has been almost a month since my last post.
i've been meaning to get to it, just haven't had any pictures or layouts to share.

i hope to change that very soon, however, as my hubby will be out of town tomorrow and i plan to use that time wisely...to scrap, i mean.

i sent pictures to be made today and got them back this afternoon.
did you know that Wal-Mart now prints 8x12?!
i love it!

maybe i'll get to use a couple this weekend.

supplies: bazzill (red) cardstock, patterned papers from the 'Everyday Tango' paper pack by MME, small squares were a Christmas gift (handmade in Nepal), mm rub-ons from the 'mixed - brite' collection, stamp from ART warehouse, other staples and ink.

the next dare is already up. i'm not sure that even a dare can make me take the time to scrap. i'm actually busy with a new little 'interest'. i can't really get into it, yet...soon.

well, that, and being trapped in my ice-covered house.
i say trapped because i don't really feel it necessary to put myself out on the roads for anything less than 'very important'.
i really want to go to target...but it will have to wait.

i started a page yesterday, i may be ready to post it later this afternoon.
and then i think i might scrap some of the Christmas portraits i have of the girl for the last two years.

i'm seriously considering breaking down our guest bed and making that a full-on scrapping room.

i got these really cool little 'org' things at Target in the $1 shop...although they were in the $2.50 section.
i can't wait to get them all set up and put to good use!

so funny, because i've been saving ads for years because the 'layout' is appealing when i look at them and i think, 'that would be a great SB page.'
anyway, when i saw this ad, naturally i thought, well you know...
and this one...its not the entire ad, but i didn't want to mess with multiple scans (its a DPS).

I am so far behind with the girl's books that i can't even imagine getting caught up.
Fall is coming so fast, bringing with it so many things to do, places to go, holidays to celebrate. Hopefully there will be time to get some scrapping done too.
I would like to host an all-day crop at my place.
I'm thinking Oct. 14th! 11a.m.ish to 10:00p.m.
We have a soccer game that day at 9:00a.m. then over to my place for the rest of the day!

is the beginning of the end for me.
really, if you want to hear some excuses, here you go...
its really too much to do to actually complete my challenge for myself,
then make a page of it, trying to think of something to say,
then to scan it a couple of times, photo-stitch it together,
make sure its read-able, post it on the blog...
it simply took too much time.

also, now we have soccer thrown in to our schedule (which i hope will offer another opportunity to exercise...we'll see) and the weather is changing, i really do prefer running at night...so that's that.

anyway, school started, 1/2 day pre-K, so i'm taking my 'me' time and doing something with it. I'll try to be good about posting progress and pages, since i'll be trying to do an art journal for this.

while in houston i was in a Barnes & Noble and they have this neat little area where they sell "office-y" supplies and such...not in all stores, i guess, because i've not seen any of this stuff where i live.
anyway...this is the cover of the cool little book i bought to do my 'me' book with.

i really like the design. i saw it, snapped it up and didn't really care what it cost (although it wasn't expensive) i was going to have it.
love the black and white.
love the paisley-looking flowers.
love the rows of circles as accents along the leaves.
love the whole bit.
